If you play guitar frequently then you might also face problems with strings couple of times. Those are basically with tuning and changing the strings. Changing guitar strings although looks difficult, but its very easy. You don’t even need a whole bunch of tools used to change the guitar strings. Following video is going to teach you how to change guitar strings especially acoustic guitar. You just need a small tool, string winder. And that’s it. in minutes you are ready your guitar to rock with new strings.

The easiest way to take the strings off is to use a string winder. I am going to remove the fourth string, you just put it on the machine head, and twist it, this is how it is. So now you just unwind the string, and you will see there are two ends. This is fairly straight, and this ends seems little bit weaker. I used to take that stronger end, put it through the hole in the bridge, like this, and you want a weight to be on the string, so just bring it around, wrap it around itself once, like that, and then over its of about twice like this. When you pull it, you want the string to have the weight over the corner. So if you only get it once, and string look like this, hope you can see this, its wrapped around and coming out, but its not wrapped under the corner, that can slip, that can come out.

So you want to wrap it around at least twice, just to make sure, its coming over the corner. So that’s by the bridge. On the top side, what you do is put the string through the hole, pull it tight, and then bring the string back through, and the way I do, it is I wrap it around itself, you want the weight on the string, on itself. So if you pull this as you tighten, the machine head, its makes a little loop, like that, if you can see this, so now the weight of the string is on itself, and that wont slip.

If you see, it made a little loop inside the hole so the string is on it self. And here speed things up, lets see, you can use the string winder too. And that how you put strings on.
