Ok now we’re going to move on to G chord. First you’re gonna start off with the root G with your middle finger.
Then you’re gonna place your index finger on the B on the 2nd fret of the A string. Then you’re gonna take the 2 next strings and play them open. Next you’re gonna take your ring finger and place it on the 3rd fret of the B string which will produce a fifth D. Right below that will be your octave G and you will play that with your pinky. So in the end your chord sounds just like this. Now another trick with the G chord, if you can’t get it like that, it’ll be easier to play it like this. I like to play it like this.
It is easier for me but instead of playing your pinky on the last string, you can play both notes with your ring finger. So without these two fingers, it will look like this. Just flat on there. The take your index finger put it on G – I mean the B, then take your ring finger and put it on the G. Same chord different positioning.
That sounds more easy as you play. And I just find it easier that way playing songs and things of that nature. You can flow better that way. It just flows better, so.
In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
