Now I’m going to show you guys some simplified chords to go with those scales. First I’m going to start off with the ‘C’ chord. Alright. First your going to take your ring finger and put it on 3rd fret of the A string which will produce the ‘C’.

This is your base note, your root note. Then you’re going to take your middle finger, put it on the 2nd fret of the D string which will produce an E. The 3rd note of the chord is just a straight open G. Second to the last note of the chord is a C which is played by the index finger on the 1st fret of the B string. Lastly you’re gonna play the open E.

So in the end your chord will sound just like this. Now I’m gonna show you a D chord, E major. So first you’re going to start off by playing the open D then you’re going to take your middle finger and place it on the A on the G string.
