Welcome to Lets Rock, first thing we do is ‘mute the strings’. Mute the strings? Why mute the strings when playing the single node? But muting the strings is indeed very important.

Because, if you don’t mute the strings it will sound like this. Feel pack all over the place. Well, this is how the guitar behaves, the electric guitar. Its loud and it produces feedback what can you do? Mute the strings with both left and the right hand. The fingers of the left hand have to be place where the flat on the string. Doing this you temp to strings that tune higher than the one you player.

Okay next we’re going to harmonize major scales using sweep picked arpeggios, now sweep picking is a technique where we pick in one fluid motion for example when moving up the arpeggio, now all an arpeggio is a cord the notes of the cord played individually, for example if I was to take this D-major arpeggio which is a D, F-sharp, A, D, F-sharp and A, my root, my third, my fifth, my root, my third and my fifth note of a D-major scale.
