Flanger Effects for the Electric Guitar

Talking about a guitar effect called the Flanger. This is my dry signal, distorted and with the flanger, ‘on’ gives you this.

The up and down sweeping motions similar to a fazer but a very different sound kind of like an aeroplane taking off nearly. I would like to put my flanger in the effects path before my distortion. Now you’ll- you’ll get a much cleaner sound if you put it after but I like to put it before for various noise defects like, if I , if I turn my width with generation and time completely up and then I hit a harmonic, wait for it, you get that sound. That’s how Prince does it. If you run your flanger after your distortion -uh- that’s kind of sound wont be as noticeable, you’ll have a much smoother, -uh- a subtle sounding sound.
