This a very easy guitar lesson that teach us how to play introduction of one of the greatest song ever played, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses. Jordan has an excellent skill, he play this introduction very well on his guitar. He has also given very good tabbing detail in his video. So now, you have five major scale fingerings. 1, 1A, 2, 3 and 4. The newest one being 4, which is, A major scale in second position. Why it is called figuring type 4? Mostly to remind us that we have 4th finger stretch. Remember fingering type 1 has, 1st finger stretch.

Well its guitar time and i am Kristofer Dhal. Today i am gonna show you one of my favorite techniques its called tapping. It looks pretty difficult but in fact its not so this is what we are going to attempt to play.

So first place your index finger on the 5th fret, your ring finger on the 8th fret and then we are gonna tap the 12th fret with our middle finger. We have to tap it really hard in order to get some sound out of it..like that.. and then we are just gonna do a downward motion like this..one..two..and the final step is to do the downward motion with the ring finger. so from the beginning.. one..two..three..thats it! one..two..three..ok, have a closer look..

The pick stroke has to be in swing with the fingers of the left hand. When changing two nodes, you sift exactly at the same moment when the string is plugged.

If you shift too quickly, it sounds like this if you shift to late it sounds like this, which means in both cases you have two nodes instead of one. Right and left hands have to synchronize so that you hear one node at a time. Its most important that you don’t have a hold with the left or the right and damps the stings like this.
