Some basics of electric guitar

Hi guys, today we are going to learn some basics of electric guitar. Now with this video, we are also going to learn some basic chords of electric guitar which are helpful for everyone. So, lets see the video.

This is going to be about power cords and fits so lets do a with a major scale over here. Well um let’s start with a imager scale. (Music plays). So if you take each note then you number it 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 you’ll have the intervals so the second interval will be the first note then second note like wise the third will be the first and the third so the power cord is made up of the first and the fifth notes of a major scale and then you add in your pinky for that eighth notes so we then we have grove which is an A then B and then another A. so for trying to make a G power cord we’ll play the g major scale and play the first fifth and eighth note of that. So it will look like this (music plays) and if you notice it is the same shape (music plays) and the difference between power cord and other cords is each cord is going to be the same shape (music plays) so instead of playing that E and then changing into a different shape for C and D you just play E up here or you can play it down here just open and the second frame on A. (music plays) E C D (music plays).

And also sometimes, when you’re playing power cords you use a distortion pel. Right now I don’t have it on but I have the volume turned on in my guitar if you can if you can play a cord you can turn the volume on your guitar and distort it a little (music plays) so can turn it off not that it is off but just so that you can (music plays).

When your playing music as a power cord say your play an A power cord you’ll have A 5 this is what it looks like so you have an A and a 5 that stands for A which is the root note and the fifth. So whatever your lowest note is your power cord is going to be the name of the cord. So G A 5 ok so those are the note just playing on the lowest strings

What you have now is the page is a little smaller and smirk like this (music plays) its all power cords E G A, G E 5 A, E G A, E. So you take that on single strings it will just be (music plays) and now on power cords it will be like this (music plays). So if your having trouble with that shape (music plays) you can tune your E string down to the D and as follows drop the d tuner. The way I do that is just play the first three strings (music plays) you can hear it its kinda weird sounding so you can take your E string tuner and turn it down till it sound more pleasing. So it will be like this. You got those first strings (music plays) see now that sounds a little better. So you’ll have E A E for your 3 lower strings

Now if your playing smoking in the water except you can drop the D tune and it will look like this (music plays) so since the E string is tuned down we move whatever we would fit on the E string up two frets or hold step so instead playing on a shape like this for an A it are A will be and E string up two frets so one and then two so then it will just be these three and that’s and A so your lowest cord is going to be these three strings open and that’s going to be the D five and your E is right here sort of open. So this being your normal E with that E strings open so its going to be like this (music plays )

So now, I’m going to normalize that shape of your fingers on the power cord I’m in the standard E tuning now so drop it you can take your fingers put it in that shape and slide it around (music plays)

Power cords are very similar to bar code so if you have a G major bar cords like this (music plays).

A power cord is just going to be the first three notes (music plays) you can see that I’m just playing the first three notes and the bar code is all of the notes.

Your open bar codes will be like a E five or the open on the east strings a second for the A and a second for the D string so its kinda like and open E but just the first three strings (music plays)

So now that you know the power cords you can play all songs. Um if the songs playing like bar codes or open codes a lot of times the bar codes kinda fits in there somewhere so it will help you to figure out songs if they are playing like maybe an E 7 and your just playing an E power cord over the E 7 (music plays) that kinda sound same so in the note you will figure out the loop note and later on once you figure out the progression you can throw in the weird 7s and keep adding notes. So good luck with power cords.
