Hi. I’m Jody Worrell. Today I’m gonna teach you one of my favorite lyrics, one that i’v picked up off a buddy.
Aah, it comes right off the A minor blues scale. It has a couple of little twists and turns. It makes it really have a sophisticated sound. Here’s how to play. Okay, just look at this lick. We’re coming right of this minor blues scale, the A minor blues scale. This is the 5th cord. Right here at the 5th, the scale that this comes out of and it’s, it’s built completely for note softer than this. It’s a great sound of scale, but, like all other scales it just doesn’t really knock it out if it’s just played from notes to notes straight up and down. It’s a good sign of thing, but listen to this. We’re, we’re gonna kind of fall back on ourselves a couple of times. We’ll play like this. Check that, it has a really cool sound.
So we got, aah, first finger 5th grap. Aah, aah, first string. Then we’ll pull up from 4 to 1 on the 2nd string. Then we got a tricky little pull off here from the 4th finger to the 3rd.
In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
