Hello, Justine here, a Lot of people, on the website forum, had mentioned that they had trouble, with getting their fingers flexible. So I am gonna show you these little exercises I used to do it. I think, its quite beneficial. Remember with all that flexibility exercise, you have to feel it stretching. So I am gonna do it quite far of next to start of, with show how the exercise is, and then you gonna gradually move it down the finger board, cause as you probably know the frets gets wider further, you go down. The more flexible you become more you need to push it. Make sure you feel like your finger are getting stretched doing these exercises.
Its really important, if you don’t fell the flexibility or a tension in your fingers, then you probably not working hard enough, say you need to shift it down, that’s first thing. Second thing, I do have the shortest little, finger, in known history, you can say, its really really stumpy. So I am not really very good at stretching, very far, as you probably, says on demonstrating the exercise. Again, that doesn’t make any difference, when you are a guitar player. My finger are quite flexible still, just one them is bit short. So, how I gonna start this? We gonna do this after the eighth fret.
And What you, is you gonna put your fingers, one finger per fret. so your first finger will be in the eighth fret, second will be on ninth fret, third finger on the tenth fret, and the little finger on the eleventh fret, and you try to make sure that your fingers are quite square on all of the time, to the fret. So, the bottom part, of your hand is parallel to the neck.
Let me trying to do like this, with you, with this part palm facing away, needs to be quite flat. So it start of with it, just to warm up, just playing all of the four nodes, on every string. All of the way up,
