So now, you have five major scale fingerings. 1, 1A, 2, 3 and 4. The newest one being 4, which is, A major scale in second position. Why it is called figuring type 4? Mostly to remind us that we have 4th finger stretch. Remember fingering type 1 has, 1st finger stretch.
Fingering type 1A has another 1st finger stretch. Fingering type 4 has 4 finger stretch, 4th finger. I don’t you to move your hand. When you go for G short, just, stretch. If I can stretch, you can probably do that too. You get more new move to more you play these scales. The last movement we have with the left hand, to move it that we don’t have to look at our hand, just rely where everything is.
So let’s review this, C major was the first scale. Now I am going to call them not the key, at for some them gonna call them, some major scale fingering. Fingering 1, 5th string, root 2nd finger. Fingering 1A, 1st finger stretch, 6th string. Fingering type 2nd finger root on the 6th string. I am playing them quickly so you can see them. Our fingering type 3 is 4th finger on the 5th string root. And fingering type 4, 4th finger root 6 string. We going to have a 4th finger stretch.
